KATATAK is on the way

KATATAK is a cat-themed dance band made up of me, my best friend Melissa (aka MelWow, Mel Warren G), and my cousin Ryan (aka RyRy, EZ Cracker). When the three of us get together, things like cat rapping make total sense.
After making the Top That video, we got the idea to create a dance band inspired by cats. Mostly of the wild, but also the domestic, variety. Mel is a longtime crazy cat lady with three cats, but she’s more tiger than tabby. Ry’s apartment is littered with cheetah prints and cat decor. Mel and I both own Siamese cats, and we all like to dance and make music. Hence, KATATAK was born.
Ry wrote our first song a few weeks ago and sent it to me to add some feline flair. During Mel’s visit to Atlanta over Halloween weekend, we came up with our lyrics and shot some footage for a video. When we found matching cat suits in two separate stores, we knew it was meant to be. We recorded vocals while she was here and I added guitar and a few beats to the original song. I mixed it all in GarageBand and then edited the video with the magic of iMovie. I can say with confidence it is the best cat-themed dance song ever made!
When I say cat, you say rap.

Wow. Just wow. Mind=Blown is RIGHT! I don’t know what I am most impressed with… the uber-believable sleep sequence or the amazing feline outfits… which are ON POINT! I love it!

Thanks!!! My outfit came from a thrift store and then magically, we found a cat suit at freakin H&M! I pissed my pants twice that day. Once from laughing and once from finding that second cat suit…
